Dec 2: Let Music Move You

By Chris Dunmire | Posted December 4, 2019

"Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone."
—Charles M. Schulz, Creator of Peanuts

Music has immense power to transform the moment and move us deeply. It can alchemize our emotions and stir our spirits to action.

Take a few moments to enjoy this uplifting piece titled Linus & Lucy by the Vince Guaraldi Trio from Charles M. Schulz's classic 1965 CBS Television special A Charlie Brown Christmas.

As you watch and listen, notice how the music affects you. What emotions surface? Excitement? Joy? Enthusiasm?

If the music and animation inspires you and fills you with energy, use the momentum to create something new or share something positive in your life today.

Get your whole body involved: move, dance, write, cook, sing, build, make art, clean, or transform something around or within you.

Use the motivation for "doing a little something extra for someone," even if that someone is you.

FUN FACT: The twin girls in purple shirts dancing in sync are named "3" and "4" and have an interesting history appearing, changing characteristics, and disappearing the Schulz's Peanuts comic strip and TV specials. Aren't they fun to watch?
