All Write: A Halloween Story Contest!

Do you have a scary or funny childhood Halloween memory or creative Halloween story you'd like to write and share with the world? If so, submit your unpublished Halloween stories (min. 400-600 words) to Creativity Portal's first ever Halloween Story Contest for a chance to win cool prizes and be published and promoted on our Web site.

SurPRIZES for Everyone!

Scary Christmas! by Chris DunmireFirst & Second Prizes: One first place ($25 gift certificate) and one second place ($15 gift certificate) prize will be awarded to the two most original and creative (scary or funny) story submissions published.

Third Prizes: EVERYONE else with a story accepted for publication will receive a copy of Chris Dunmire's creative Halloween playbook, "Scary Christmas: Printable Halloween Activity Pages for Kids of All Ages!" (second edition) and be recognized for exceptional creative talent on the Creativity Portal Web site and in our October 15, 2008 NewZine.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Submit your unpublished stories (min. 400-600 words) through our contact form with the subject: "Halloween Story Contest" by October 10, 2008 accompanied by the story title, your name, and Web site or blog address. If you don't have a Web site, that's fine too!
  • One story submission allowed per participant.
  • Story submissions must be your own stories and not plagiarized works.
  • Stories should be family-friendly (PG) and not obscene.
  • All published stories will be forever archived on the Creativity Portal Web site. If your story is chosen for inclusion, it will be published with credit to you and a link to your Web site. You'll also get an honorable mention in our next newsletter.
  • All decisions are final.
  • Void where prohibited.
