October 2006 Journal
This might be Foreword of me, but...
By Chris Dunmire, Publisher
If I had a nickel for every book I've read so far in my lifetime, I'd lug them down to a bookstore and promptly buy more books. Yes, I'm one who proudly admits to preferring a library card over a charge card even though my interest rate in books is much higher!

Now, if I had a nickel for every book I've written in my lifetime, I'd have no cents. Well, I do have sense, but since I haven't written any books yet, well, you know what I mean. HOWEVER, that is not to say that I haven't found a way to wiggle in between the covers of a book that someone else has authored. Indeed, I have.

Do I have your interest now? Good. Because for nearly three months I've been keeping a secret from you that I'm now free to blab about. How's that for elegance? Enough time wasting, here it is: I've written my very first book Foreword. You know, those first few pages in a book after the Table of Contents, but before Chapter One begins (also called a Preface). Isn't that exciting?

I know what you're going to ask next. What's the book title and who is the author? If I tell you that, you have to promise me that you'll go read my Foreword AND the enticing Chapter One excerpt published on the Creativity Portal. If you can't promise, then close your eyes for the following unveiling, okay? And for you promising readers, here it is: ::: drum roll :::
