"But
the Fortune Cookie Said..."
One of the coolest reflections I've read about fortune cookies was by Chronic Creativity's Angela Mack. She observed, "Fortune cookies are totally creative. They are random little quotes that come out of a cookie and have the ability to encourage." I just loved that!
A week ago after my companion and I shared lunch at a local Chinese restaurant, we cracked open our fortune cookies to see what messages the universe would bestow on us for the day. Munching on half a cookie I looked at mine to read, "People are attracted to your inventive and intuitive mind." I smiled at the cookie gods and thanked them for my current domain in this world as a creativity enthusiast.
Then I glanced up at my companion who held out his message to me in our usual "lets-swap-to-see-what-you-got" fashion. His read, "You will have no problems in your home." I laughed and retorted that anytime we're forced to call a contractor for plumbing, electrical, (or, or...) that we'll simply pull out the promising message and claim "But the fortune cookie said...." Silly little messages they are sometimes, aren't they?
::: wonders :::
So... do you think people really are attracted to me for my inventive and intuitive mind? •

P.S. The answer to last issue's "122 Days" was NOT days left until Christmas. It was: days left in 2006. Thank you to everyone who e-mailed me guesses!
