Introducing Artist Annie Lang
By Chris Dunmire, Publisher
This week it's my absolute pleasure to introduce you to the whimsical work of artist Annie Lang.
"Annie is an award-winning self-taught artist, designer, and author of more than two dozen how-to instructional pattern books with Eas’l Publications since 1995. Her many licensed characters and project designs have appeared in a wide variety of painting and craft magazines and on numerous commercially manufactured products for more than a decade."
Annie has palettely partnered with the Creativity Portal Web site to share several of her original projects with our creative crafters. The first in the series is her “It’s Purse-onal!” Paper Craft Project which is a cleverly disguised slimline jewel case that can be used to send surprise greetings, party announcements, and event invitations. Don't miss it!
Stay tuned for more of Annie's creativity-enriching art and craft projects coming this month. Meanwhile, visit Annie's official Web site, www.anniethingspossible.com to learn more about her whimsical creations.
"Love of the Craft" Writing Column Update
I'm pleased to pass on this message from Dave Duggins, author of the new "Love of the Craft" Q & A column on the Creativity Portal.
Dave has received an astounding number of questions from readers that he is so looking forward to address. In fact, he doesn't want anyone waiting too long for an answer, so he's come up with this creative solution to address the inquiries:
"Here's my solution: the questions that are longer and more complex will be answered as columns at Creativity Portal. The shorter, more pointed questions will be answered in the Voidgunner Gazette. That way, you'll never have to wait longer than two weeks for an answer. If there's more overflow (that's up to you, guys — bring it on!), I'll use my blog to handle that.
So what do you have to say? Voidgunner is your site. Take over! I'm ready for you!"
I told you that Dave is passionate and loves what he does, didn't I? So please, keep sending your writing and publishing questions to Dave through his Web site question box, and sign up for his Voidgunner Gazette newsletter (near the bottom of the same page) to keep up with ALL of the Q & A coming his way.
