The Art of Becoming Visible

If you read the article The Power to Create by creativity coach Susan Ann Darley in the June newsletter, you may have noticed it was an excerpt from her book "The Art of Becoming Visible."

Intrigued by the books' title, I asked Susan to tell me more about it. She said the book was "the result of the classes she taught to artists from all disciplines and it consisted of basic marketing techniques" with topics touching on copywriting, public relations, promotional packages, negotiation, contracts, and money, to name a few.

If you plan on taking your creative work into the marketplace, then you must learn how to effectively market yourself — online and offline. Virtually and in person. Through e-mail and face-to-face. Indeed, there is an art to becoming visible and Susan's book is a great primer into this territory.

Susan has generously allowed Creativity Portal to publish a second excerpt from her book to better help you in Marketing Your Talents. Learn more about "The Art of Becoming Visible" and Susan's other coaching tools at www.susananndarley.com.
