Eight Habits of The Creatively Intelligent
We’d all be more creative if we paid less attention to the surfaces, our doings and achievements, our ambitions and desires; and more attention to the depths, the hidden forces and faculties that lie within ourselves and others.
Nurture Your Creativity: List What You're Thankful For
Much has been written about gratitude throughout the centuries, and with a common theme: Gratitude is a positive attitude or emotion that benefits us greatly when it's employed.

The Joy of Creativity: Emergence
If I allow myself to speak, write words, or paint marks without knowing what I am going to say next or what I’ll end up with, eventually something will emerge.
Not-Knowing: A Sometimes Unnerving but Utterly Reliable Guide
We want to know. We want to know things beforehand, ahead of time. We want to know where we are going, why we are going there, what we will encounter (and should thus prepare for) along the way.
As outdoor gardening gets into full-swing, not only will I not plant 10 cucumber plants for a family of 2 in my backyard garden (last year was my first ever), but I will plant my crops in stages so I won't have to go door-to-door offering a ridiculous amount of free surplus vegetables to my neighbors. Yes, I learned a lot about gardening last year.
Yesterday I visited farmer's market in Madison, Wisconsin, after attending a live broadcast of author Michael Feldman's radio program Whad'ya Know? (lots of fun — listen to MP3 recordings of the show on his Web site). With my growing experience in gardening flowers and vegetables, I now have a deeper appreciation for all the hard work that goes into sowing and reaping plant-based products. Thank you farmers and growers of all kinds! Incidentally, I saw two funny garden markers in downtown Madison. One said: "Vegetables in training." the other: "I love it when you talk dirt to me!"
Speaking of gardening, I've also discovered the art of desktop Zen gardening, which I've found to be a contemplative way to nurture your creativity. You can easily construct your own mini Zen garden for less than $10 to use in meditation, relaxation, and in cultivating your own creative ideas. My Zen garden practice has already yielded fun dividends in the form of my PC Ant Farm and its accompanying printable humor poster.
Final Grown: An Ant Rant
I've got ants growing in both my vegetable and flower gardens and I didn't even plant them there. Who'd want to grow ant hills?
