Irene Anderson's Popcorn Art Pictures

My invitation to submit photos of your own popcorn art still stands on the Be Creative! Popcorn Art Project page for artists of all ages and abilities. So far we have one respondent who sent us enough photos to set up a special gallery page for her art pictures: 69-year-old Irene Anderson from Glade Spring, Virginia, USA. More »
'Dollar Bill Money Plant' Project Now Available for Amazon Kindle
First conceived in 1998 and then birthed into the world through the Creativity Portal in 2004, my world-famous 'Cashius monetarius' Dollar Bill Origami Money Plant project has delighted thousands of 'green' crafty gift-giving creatives ever since. Its accompanying novelty seed packet has also amused many — it's the most common printable item I get e-mailed about from all over the globe — from fund-raising mom's of boy scouts to church pastors speaking about prosperity.

In the November 9 'zine I revealed that my Money Plant design will be featured in the upcoming book The MoneyPhile by Harry Choron, scheduled for release in 2010. This great honor plus the book's ongoing popularity has inspired me to add an additional book format special for Kindle users: How to Make a Dollar Bill Origami Money Plant (ISBN 978-0-9843058-4-1). This book for Amazon's wireless reading device is now available as a digital download from their Kindle store and includes online access to the fun reprintable seed packets. No matter which version you prefer, the results from either book are sure to please party-goers and money gift givers (and receivers!) for years to come.

With this addition, I'd like to thank everyone who has supported and given me feedback for this fun folded dollar-bill plant gift idea, including all who've purchased the Money Plant e-book and the generous souls who've written the unsolicited testimonials used on the book's marketing pages. All of your interest has made my creative dream of becoming an author with viable products in the marketplace a reality. I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my creations through published products catalogued in the world's supply chain.

And thank you, dear reader, for supporting the Creativity Portal community in the many ways that you do. Whether it's by taking an interest in our features and authors or by sharing our links on your blog or social networking site with others, YOU are an important part of what's going on here too. We are all plugged in to a collective appreciation for creativity, individually intent on nurturing, expressing, and celebrating our innate creative potential. Today and everyday, I celebrate with you!

Warm regards & thankfulness,

On Creativity and Eight Habits of The Creatively Intelligent

Creative Intelligence is not a “given” but a process, a practice. An approach to living. Here are habits of living that all creative people have fostered in themselves.

The Transformative Wisdom of Sand

Often in times of challenge, crisis or collapse, we reflect on those who have experienced similar or worse for inspiration. This knowledge coupled with yearning, a need for change, a surge of stress and a spark of intuition tapped into that creative flow which we have all viewed with opening hearts.
