As many of you know, my passion for alpinism (mountain climbing) began decades ago back in college when I was working on my undergraduate degree in liberal arts. My enthusiasm for photography and painting led to acquiring a research grant in partnership with the school’s sports department and accompanying the gold-medal winning ski team to the international Olympics in Switzerland in 1974. Rhoda Burrow is author of the best-selling Overcoming Mental Mountains and nineteen other books. She's known for breaking ground in the sport of mountain climbing by introducing new, safer, innovative mountaineering techniques and co-engineering the Triple-8 Bivouac shelter commonly used in snow, glacial, and ice-laden conditions. Her newest book, An Artist's Guide to Creative Peak is available at Amazon. |
