“With creative wild abandon and imaginative play,
with a belief in the infinite possibilities of the human psyche,
with feet on the ground and heads in the stars,
we endeavor to knock at the door of the human heart,
reminding ourselves and each other that once upon a time
is really here and now.” — Angi Sullins |

Get Stimulated! for 2011
As 2010 winds down and 2011 warms up, I'm happy to share two related Creativity Portal "firsts" to rev you up for the new year.
1 — This is the first NewZine to spotlight individual contributors to our 2011 collaborative calendar project. Further down you'll see January's calendar design, submitted by Jeannine McGlade and Andrew Pek, authors of Stimulated! Habits to Spark Your Creative Genius at Work.
McGlade and Pek have been featured on ABC, NBC, Fox and Friends, numerous radio shows throughout the United States as well as print media such as The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Redbook Magazine, Investor’s Business Daily.
Read our first excerpt from Stimulated!: Evolution, Creation, and Stimulation.
2 — Creativity Portal partnered with McGlade and Pek to facilitate an absolutely unheard of $1 book promotion to help get more of their four-color, hardcover books in circulation before it goes to paperback, and to say thank you to our amazing creative community for their loyalty (thank you!). (Book promotion ended January 15, 2011.)
