Do you want to write a book? Then you'll want to calculate the costs involved if you are concerned about being able to afford it or turning a profit. Deb Simpson shows you the ropes through her article series on book publishing and selling.
"It is hard to believe in your artistry when there are accusations that hold you back.
But, don’t be afraid of carrying on. Your art builds the streets, alleys, roads, bridges and freeways that drive others to feel, think and be. It is worth the battle, and there will be a major pay-off: sharing. Contributing. Offering your greatest passion to a world that could be otherwise stripped of beauty or meaning without you." ~ Diana Rivera
TIP: Got perfection paralysis? Spend some time with Spills (Muse of Practice, Process, and Imperfection) and learn how you can break the chains and free yourself to love the process of creating, rather than merely focusing on the finished product.
Wow — 2012 is NOW! Even if the Mayan calendar runs out this year, Creativity Portal will continue to provide and advocate for trained creativity coaches, book developers, and art mentors worldwide.
If you still need a calendar for 2012, print mine and reflect on the January prompt: What creative dreams are you reaching for?
This year I intend to spend more time nurturing creativity in children and adults through coursework and coaching.
In February and March I'll be facilitating two new hands-on kid's playshops at Womanspace in Rockford, Illinois, and will also be available as a Master Coach to coaches-in-training in the next online/phone Kaizen-Muse™ Creativity Coach Training beginning February 15.
If you're planning on taking the KMCC training with Jill Badonsky and Robert Maurer and want to work with me as your Master Coach, you can request so when you sign up (psst... you'll also save $100 on tuition if you register by January 15). Or, if you've been thinking about taking the course and are wondering how others have benefited from it, feel free to e-mail me and I'll be happy share my experience with you.
Finally, if you're an author, mentor, or coach or simply enjoy supporting fellow artists and writers through your enthusiastic and nurturing work online or off, consider participating in our 20 Questions Interview feature or submitting an article or two and benefiting from our creative network and promotional platform.
Above all, keep sharing your creative stories and gifts with the world. We SO need them.
Make 2012 count!
