School's back in session and book reading couldn't be more popular! Librarians, bibliophiles, teachers, and parents will enjoy this fun papercraft project with kids (or by themselves!):
1. Choose and download a 1- or 2-piece blank bookmark template from the download selection on this page.
2. Print bookmark cutouts on desired colored or textured paper (card stock recommended).
3. Cut out bookmarks (assemble two-piece cutouts with glue or double-sided tape).
4. Personalize bookmarks with inspiring or funny words or slogans related to reading (FEED YOUR MIND, ABSORB KNOWLEGE, MARK THAT SPOT, PAUSE HERE) and/or artfully decorate with collage, mod-podge, color, drawings or doodles. The possibilities are endless. Be creative!
TIP: Bookmarks should be flat and free of any leaky/smearing medium or debris that can fall off or get left behind between book pages. Laminate with sticky sheets to preserved for years of enjoyment and use.

Print on white or color card stock or thick printer paper. This one-piece bookmark (and the larger one below) features a cut-out border and padding around an extra-thick outline on the star artwork to make it "pop". Color and decorate as desired. Top and bottom are printed on same paper.
This two-piece template cutout allows you to print the top and bottom separately on two pages for a two-color scheme (example: print stars on yellow paper; rectangles on purple paper).
