Drinking from the Bowls of Life

I made this SoulCollage® card intuitively, simply placing these four images (the woman, the bowls, and the leaf) together because I loved them, and because they felt “just right” together. This happens often in SoulCollage®, and then the fun begins when we let the images speak to us, telling us who they are and what gifts they long to give to us. Listen to what this part of me said when I took the time to listen:

I am the one who is touched by the juicy water of life. I am the one who is totally into being who I am. I am the one who receives deep joy from my own existence. I am the one who deserves everything just because I am. I am the one who is open to all that life holds, to all that life has to give me. I am the one who knows that I deserve all good things simply because I was born. I am the one who is nourished by my own joy.

My gift to you is the deep knowing that you are worthy of abundance and all good things. I give you freedom from guilt and freedom from the heavy weight of impossibility. I give you joy and wholeness.

I want you to drink from the bowls of life, to drink from the bowl that life is offering you right now. I want you to accept the indisputable fact that you are worthy. I want you to delight in your very existence.

Creating this SoulCollage® card, and then working with it has made a big difference in my life this past year. When I first found her, I had long been out of touch with her, but now I know that the woman on this card is a deep and integral part of me. Because I’ve finally taken the time to sit down and listen to her, I’ve been able to let go of many of my old, negative thought patterns and habits. Her beauty and grace welcome me every morning these days, as soon as I open my eyes.

Inner Reflection:

There is a voice inside of each of us that says and fervently believes “I am worthy.” Spend some time in silence this week and see if you can hear that voice inside of you. Has it been a long time since you heard that voice in your soul, or is it a voice that you respond to with respect and love each day? If this concept (your indisputable worthiness) seems a bit strange to you, try looking into your eyes in the mirror today and saying this affirmation out loud to yourself several times: I am worthy of all good things. Say it every day until you really believe it. Then try making a SoulCollage® card to honor this special and distinct part of you. •
