Hugh and Gayle Prather spent most of their forty-five years of marital life as authors and together wrote twenty books. Most of those books had only Hugh's name on them, which Gayle not only accepted but wanted. Being married for so long gave them ample material for their books, as well as for their years of giving workshops, interviews, and free counseling to couples and basically anyone who needed help. Hugh died suddenly in 2010, and Gayle still lives in the house where they spent their last years together.
